Big Sky Wine & Spirits Academy (BSWSA) is based in Bozeman Montana and offers wine and spirit education classes, events and beverage consulting.

BSWSA offers one time compressed or several session wine exploration classes for consumers who are looking to discover wines and growing regions around the world. 

In addition, Big Sky Wine & Spirits Academy offers Wine Spirit Education Trust (WSET®) Level 1 & 2 certification classes. WSET was founded in London and is the largest internationally recognized wine and spirits certification program in the world. 

​BSWSA also offers the French Wine Scholar Study and Certification Program in partnership with the Wine Scholar Guild. This program is supported by the French Ministry of Agriculture, and is a specialized program that is designed for advanced students of wine.

BSWSA founder Caressa Bailey Sack, DWS/CSW offers consulting services including sommelier for hire for private events,  and beverage consulting for bars, restaurants and wineries.

​​Caressa Bailey Sack grew up in Bozeman and attended college at MSU.  Upon graduation Caressa moved to Napa to pursue a career in the wine industry.
Caressa received her WSET diploma in Wine & Spirits under Neal Ewing at Phillywine and became a WSET Certified Educator at the International Wine Center in New York City, assisting Neal to teach WSET courses in Philadelphia.   Caressa also worked under Marnie Old, a nationally renowned Sommelier and author of "Wine Secrets," "He Said Beer, She Said Wine," "Wine Simplified," and "Wine: A Tasting Course."
Caressa holds additional professional certifications as a Certified Spanish Wine Educator through the Wine Academy of Spain and Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators.  Caressa was also accepted into the prestigious Institute for Masters of Wine in 2010 and studied with the Institute in Bordeaux & Napa.
Caressa has over 10 years of experience working for various distributors and suppliers including her previous role as the Eastern Wine Education Manager for Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines.
Caressa lives in Bozeman with her husband Matthew, owner of Sack Law PLLC, and children Audrey and Ian, & a French Bulldog named Farley.  In her spare time Caressa enjoys photography, the outdoors and traveling to explore new places.


WSET® qualifications will be focused to those who want to achieve  a deeper understanding of wines & spirits as well as to those who want to pursue a career in the wine, spirit or hospitality industry.  Sommeliers or beverage stewards can take WSET® courses to master wine service, cellaring, and wine list creation.
We offer beverage program assistance, staff training, sales training, and unique sampling opportunities in addition to a variety of other services.
